B.A.B.E. Classics – The B.A.B.E. Championship Belt – SF 1 – Lana Sinclair vs. Ivanna Payne

The semi-finals are here! First, Lana Sinclair takes on former foxy boxing champion, Ivanna Payne!

: Ashley Powers looked out at the ring. Tonight, she was ringside as a spectator to witness her friend Lana Sinclair take on Ivanna Payne in the first semi-final of the B.A.B.E. Championship Tournament. Lana had survived her match with Vanity Vale, but now she was facing an even more powerful woman. Ivanna Payne would be merciless in the ring, but Ashley had faith in her friend.

: “Ladies and gentlemen… welcome to tonight’s Main Event! After four quarter-finals, we are now down to two semi-finals! In the first semi-final for the B.A.B.E. belt, please welcome, from New York, NY…. “B.A.B.E.’s Shining Light”… LANA SINCLAIR!!” Lana strutted down the aisle and hopped into the ring to the sounds of the cheering crowd. She walked to the center and raised her arm high.

: “And her opponent, from Boston MA… please welcome the powerful IVANNA PAYNE!!” Ivanna made her way to the ring to the sound of jeers. But she didn’t care. She walked into the ring and stood there for a moment before flexing her muscles.

: DING! And the first B.A.B.E Championship semi-final began! Lana moved in quick, charging at Ivanna with fists aimed for the head. Ivanna danced along with her, narrowly avoiding the punches.

: And then it was Ivanna’s turn to attack. She veered out of Lana’s last punch and then connected with a right fist to the side of the face. Lana was stunned and went into a quick defense. But Ivanna charged into her with more damaging fists.

: Ivanna stayed on her opponent, not giving her a chance to fight back. Ivanna kept low, shooting quick, penetrating fists into Lana’s head. Lana tried backing away, but Ivanna kept hunting her down. Throughout the first round, Ivanna showed the crowd why she was in the running to become B.A.B.E. champion! And then, Lana received a welcome sound. DING! The first round ended.

: Ivanna stood up in her corner feeling cocky with her performance. She looked across at her opponent and said, “How did you make it past Vanity? When that bell rings, I’m gonna tear you apart some more!” Lana, meanwhile, relaxed in her corner, conserving her strength. She knew Ivanna would be a tough opponent, but she now experienced the pain she brought. Lana’s plan was to stay on the defensive and hope that Ivanna tired herself out some more. DING! And the bell rang for the next round.

: At the sound of the bell, Ivanna moved in to continue where she left off. She met Lana in the middle of the ring and began to attack her head with fists that met their target. Lana tried fending off Ivanna’s punches, but found herself getting pummeled once again.

: But midway through the second round, Lana Sinclair had had enough and began fighting back. She withstood Ivanna’s mauling and then connected with a beautiful left hook that stopped Ivanna cold. Lana then took advantage of Ivanna’s pause and began to shower her with quick, biting punches to the head and midsection.

: But Ivanna Payne took as well as she gave. She absorbed Lana’s punches and then answered back with more shots of her own. Both fighters spent the round going back and forth, dishing out large wallops of punishment. DING! And then the bell rang to offer them both some rest.

: During the break, Ivanna still refused to sit on her stool. She wanted to intimidate Lana and let her know she didn’t need to rest. She wanted the bell to ring quickly so that she could finally put Lana down. Lana Sinclair, meanwhile, too full advantage of the break. She sat down, breathing heavily, but licking her wounds again. She knew this next round would be the time to make her final stand against the power of Payne. DING! And it was time to begin again.

: Lana rushed out of her corner in an effort to beat Ivanna to the punch. And she did! Before Ivanna could connect with a punch of her own, Lana swiped into her with a fist to the chin. Ivanna felt the crunch of the blow and slowed down for a moment.

: Lana took advantage of Ivanna’s pause and lunged into her with a left uppercut that snapped Ivanna’s head back. Ivanna’s teeth rattled in her mouth as Lana’s adrenaline took over.

: With crowd cheering her on, Lana went to work massaging Ivanna’s body with hard punches. Ivanna’s strength, having been squandered in the first two rounds, waned as Lana unleashed her fury. Having survived her opponent’s attack early in the fight, Lana now came back to show Ivanna why she was in the running for champion. Finally, Lana threw all her force into a right fist that shot through Ivanna’s head, sending her crashing to the canvas!

: With Ivanna on her back, Lana Sinclair stood tall above her. She knew she had beaten the odds to become only the 2nd person to put Ivanna down. And the count began. “1… 2… 3… 4… 5…”

: The crowd was on its feet as the count continued. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing. “6… 7… 8… 9… 10!” DING! DING! And the arena erupted in roars. Ivanna Payne had fallen!

: “Ladies and gentlemen… the winner of tonight’s Main Event, by knockout in the 3rd round… and making her way to the B.A.B.E. Championship Tournament Final… LANA SINCLAIR!!” The crowd went crazy! ‘B.A.B.E.’s Shining Light’ would be moving on the the final championship match. She stood still in the center of the ring, looking proud and confident. Lana Sinclair earned the respect of many with her win.

: Ashley Powers met Lana Sinclair backstage after the match. “You did it!” Ashley exclaimed. “You beat Vanity and Ivanna! You know that means? You knocked two former champions out of the tournament. I knew you could do it!”

: “Thanks Ashley! I had the crowd and you behind me. But now, I gotta worry about the next match. I was studying Rayne in her quarter final and she’s impressive. Jade Fist is someone I need to worry about as well. She doesn’t have the brute strength that Rayne has, but she’s quick and strong. Still… I hope I face her instead of Rayne.”

: “Lana, you took out two champs. You’ll have no problem handling either Rayne or Jade. You’re this much closer to becoming the B.A.B.E. champ!”

: Lana was relieved. “Alright. I gotta shower up and change. Then, it’s time to celebrate!”
