The first quarter-final for the B.A.B.E. Championship Belt.

- Sonja Redding sat in the locker room, mentally preparing for her match tonight. Since B.A.B.E. started, she had fought her way through a list of opponents to make it to the B.A.B.E. Championship Tournament. Now, she was about to start the tournament off in the first quarter-final, going up against The Jade Fist. She knew Jade would be a formidable opponent but Sonja just saw her as a stepping stone to the B.A.B.E. Championship belt.

- With thoughts of the B.A.B.E. belt in her head, Sonja stood up with a fierce focus. She was going to show the crowd tonight why she deserved to become the first B.A.B.E champion. Sonja Redding was ready to start things off with a bang. Now, she was eager to hear her name announced to begin the first Championship quarter-final!

- Meanwhile, Lana Sinclair sat in the crowd, deep in thought, as the fans around her cheered loudly. She looked up at the ring, ready to analyze her potential opponents: the Jade Fist, a boxer known for her speed and viciousness, and Sonja Redding, a boxer who was both admirable and powerful. Both women had worked hard to make it to the tournament. Now, they were on a collision course for the B.A.B.E. Championship title. And Lana knew she might be facing either one.

- “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our Main Event tonight: the first quarter-final in the Tournament to become the first Beautiful Angels of Boxing Entertainment Champion! First, fighting out of the blue corner… from Minneapolis, MN, please welcome ‘The Next Big Thing’ SONJA REDDING!!” The fans cheered loudly for Redding. They had seen her victorious many times and now hoped she’d add another opponent to her list as she made her way through to the quarter finals.

- “And fighting out of the red corner… hailing from Bangkok, Thailand… please welcome THE JADE FIST!!” There was some light applause and many jeers for The Jade Fist. She had entered the B.A.B.E. league new to many fans of the old Foxy Boxing league. And since her time in B.A.B.E., she had proven to be a fierce fighter despite her size. She was silent and speedy, tearing her opponents apart with some ease. Now, she was in a battle to make it through to the Championship belt.

- DING! DING! And battle for the B.A.B.E. Championship belt began! Both fighters zoomed in to the center of the ring and dance around each other, looking for an opening. Then, Sonja stepped in, poking and prodding her opponent with testing fists. She wanted to keep Jade on her toes until she could break through with more punishing fists.

- But it was the Jade Fist who broke through with the punishment! While Sonja was busy testing her opponent out, Jade was looking for her own opening and found it when Sonja pulled back after a punch. Jade threw all her body weight into a blistering right fist that crushed into Sonja’s jaw.

- The Jade Fist then went to work, pummeling into Sonja with several quick punches that found their marks. Jade was like a skilled surgeon in the ring, dissecting Sonja quickly and effectively. Sonja tried to back away, but Jade would not leave her side. DING! When the bell rang to end the round, Redding was relieved.

- There was a study in contrasts as both women rested in their corners. The Jade Fist stood up, glaring deep at Sonja Redding across the ring. Never once did she take her eyes off her opponent, knowing she was intimidating her. Sonja Redding, meanwhile, tried to look away as she sat tired on her stool. Her confidence fell apart in the first round as she tasted the Jade Fist’s power. But Sonja wasn’t giving up. She just had to find Jade’s weak spot and exploit it enough to wear her down. This rest was all Sonja needed to get back in the game.

- DING! The bell rang and both women met each other in the center of the ring again. But this time, the Jade Fist cracked Sonja’s jaw with a lightning-like fist that came out of nowhere! Sonja’s brain rattled against her skull from the force of the blow, but she still held on.

- Redding desperately swung at Jade, but her fists did not reach their targets. Jade, however, maneuvered around them and tagged Sonja with grueling fists of her own. Soon, Redding’s energy was drained by the Jade Fist’s attack. In the middle of the ring and in front of all her fans, Sonja felt the battle leaving her body.

- The Jade Fist felt it as well. With every new punch, she felt Redding’s body become heavier with dead weight. Finally, the Jade Fist ended the battle with a left uppercut that rattled Sonja’s teeth and shut her lights out.

- “1… 2… 3… 4… 5… ” The count began while the Jade Fist strutted around, claiming victory. Her fists were held high as her opponent lay still at her feet.

- “6… 7… 8… 9… 10! DING! DING!” And it was over! Sonja Redding had suffered her first defeat since joining B.A.B.E. and her path to the B.A.B.E. Championship belt was over before it could really begin. The fans booed as their heroine was knocked out of the tournament.

- “Ladies and gentlemen… the winner of the first quarter-final Tournament match… by knockout in the second round… THE JADE FIST!!” Jeers filled the arena. In the first quarter-final match, the Jade Fist had taken out a strong contender in only 2 rounds. Odds were in Sonja’s favor, but Jade had blown those odds out of the water. And now, she’d be moving on to the semifinals.

- Lana Sinclair looked up at the quarter-final winner with an intense stare. She witnessed the swift brutality of the Jade Fist tonight and knew she might have to face her eventually. Tonight had been very informative for Sinclair. And she would not forget the most important lesson learned: do not underestimate your opponent.
